About Me

Here’s a little bit more about me.

Personal Background:

I am from Kansas City, MO and graduated from Northwest Missouri State University (GO BEARCATS!). I am currently a Software Developer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, however will be transitioning to the UX team soon. I have one younger sister, Sophia. My boyfriend and I are the owner of three pitbulls, so yes I am a dog lover. I greatly enjoy coffee so invite me for coffee anytime!

Academic Background:

Entering in to my freshmen year of college, I dived into computer programming. The first language I learned was Python and then soon learned Java. Although I loved the challenge of learning a new programming language, I had always felt something was missing. Then, I was immersed into a world of HTML and CSS. A place where design met content digitally. I loved being able to take code I had written and create a visually appealing program to users. As my course work furthered, I began learning how important users were to any program produced. After my sophomore year, I decided to add on a second major to further my love for digital design. Adding Interactive Digital Media: Visual Imaging as a second major has taken my knowledge of computer science to a path users will actually be happy to look at.
